Colt or USFA

USFA Turn around incredibly long

I too would like a USFA single action, but when I emailed them on what kind of turn around on getting one, I went into shock. I was told that wait time for the single action revolver just yesterday, was 12-15 months. Anybody ordered one lately and been told the same thing? What has been your experience?:confused:

Unless you're looking to have a made-to-order gun,* I'd just check around some of the distributor-retailers like Trail Creek Trade Co. If you're not ultra picky (about add-on features you could get if placing a personalized order through USFA directly), they usually have a few .45s in stock of the regular SAs, and usually several of the pricier "special" models (Pre War, China Camp, etc).
*The only option sometimes ordered on the regular SA is the casehardened hammer anyway--and sometimes they're ordered with that option for not a lot more. Not saying the USFAs are growing on trees, but they're out there.

Where'd that come from? Bright nickel is an expensive finish to produce, especially these days. Colt's upcharge is $200. So what???

Careful, somebody might think you have an axe to grind.
