college carry

thats why the "option" for each campus in texas to opt out was not made a part of the bill. its not an option. no school would stay in the option. lawyers will say its legal once it becomes it and thats it. What is gonna be funny is if the schools create an anti weapon policy in spite of law. what would happen?
My school doesn't even have anything that says I can't carry in the handbook. I even pointed this out to the dean. Can't wait for GA to hurry up and do this too. Im gonna have to get a bullet proof backpack over the summer. That would be hot :D

Students for Concealed Carry on Campus is the primary organization for this movement. They advocate state laws that do not allow public colleges to ban state recognized concealed carry permits. There is a bill going through the Texas House right now, and it has been approved by the Senate.
Utah forces public colleges to recognize CCW permits.
Colorado and other states give colleges the choice. Colorado State University and Blue Ridge Community College (and I think 1 more) voluntarily recognize CCW permits.
