Hunted pheasants and quail last year here in Nebraska it was -23F and the hottest I ever hunted was in September dove season was in the high 80'sF. I'd much rather hunt cold than hot, I don't have to worry about the game spoiling and they aren't as jumpy when it's cold. Never had a gun malfunction in the cold either. Picking up the hulls when they melt the snow is hard sometimes to find them though.
