Cleaning with cloth patches?

Not only cloth, but soft flannel ones are all I have used - they hold solvent and oil better for cleaning/lubrication. Great to use..........

I like cloth so much more than the synth ones and I also used recycled clothing. Lint and strings have never been a major problem. It happens some times but its not hard to get rid of.

I buy cotton baby flannel at WalMart, and cut my own. Cheapest thing around, and 100% cotton. It may just be the muzzleloader in me, but I will not touch synthetic cleaning patches. When I shot matches every weekend with the flinter I would go through a huge amount of patches due to cleaning between every shot. I would drop all the patches in a container, and then put them in a mesh bag and into the washing machine with shop rags and such. Used them quite a few times like that. I am sure that will make some of the more anally retentive folks squirm, but I won or placed, more often than not, and that Green Mountain barrel will still hold quite a good group. Didn't seem to hurt a thing.

HEY! Somebody found my old underwear!:D
