Cleaning Stainless

Bill - thanks for the post, I wasn't aware of the pumice content in pink erasers until just now. I've never gummed up an action, with one, however. I also don't scrub on the gun for hours with it.
 
If we're talking about getting the discoloration off the cylinder face (the few times I've bothered to do it), about any metal polish rated for stainless will work. For the rest of the gun, like a lot of people in this thread, I clean stainless just like I do a blued gun.
 
Someone told me carburator cleaner works good but I have'nt tried it yet.

When I do,I'll probably spray some in the plastic cap on the can and use a q-tip to apply it on the gun only where I want it to go.
