Cleaning a .22 rifle

I hope you mean after 50 record shots. It takes at least 10 rounds to season the bore with lube. Some people use even more fouling shots.

I mostly use Standard+ for practice and Center X for record. Anschutz M54 action and barrel.

Wait here now a minute--You clean a 22 :p. I have 2- 10/22's could not count how many rounds down them. Wipe the action and put away. Maybe run a patch of Bore Conditioner down it before I put it away for the winter. My centerfire rifles, They get cleaned after every shooting,be it 10 shots or 100 shots.

My Anschutz chrome moly and stainless barrels need 3 or 4 shots of conditioning a cleaned barrel. Same for Hart, Lilja and others just as good. This is with RWS R 50/100 and Eley Tenex ammo as well as Russian Olimp and a Temp when it was available. Other ammo often took more conditioning shots.

I think people will clean their rimfire 22's when they see accuracy degrade.
