Clean with Tampax

I figured that trick out about twentyfive years ago.

You don't need a rod for it either, a piece of string or fishing line of sufficient test will work. Two pieces allows you to pull it back and forth in the bore.

Toeing the line on that one.........

Tamara is liable to show up and off you.....;)

But in a pinch, it will work, but I'll stick with my BORESNAKE!

Why would a man be afraid to buy tampons at a store? Afraid they'll think the're for you? :D

Insecurity abounds. I think its a good idea. You guys crack me up,

.....why afraid???

I agree with Edward429451.

I've always been puzzled by the guys that "wouldn't dare" go through a check out line with Tampons or Tampax. I KNOW guys like this. And it's always been a head-scratcher for me.

When I was 9 or 10, I used to buy them for my sister when she'd be laid up with cramps so bad she couldn't move. Sometimes that time of the month would come rolling around and we wouldn't be prepared, my mom (who was disabled) would send me to the grocery store and I'd just buy the stuff. No biggie.

As an adult, I bought them for girlfriends and now, my wife. Are guys going "eeeewwwww" and sneering at me? Who knows. Anyways, I don't care what people think. And I guess that's just me. I don't care what people think.

Oh, and I do it too.

I forgot to put this in my last post. I use Tampax for cleaning my shotgun, too. In fact, I have a box on my shelf in the garage, right next to my gun cleaning and reloading stuff. :D

I'll stick with "patches".......It's not worth the wrath of a PMS-ing woman to find an empty box under the sink while you're holding the last one, soaked with Hoppes No. 9........

Hey deanadell:

That's a funny post! Just appease her with chocolate. :D

Works in my house.

I actually went out and bought my own box. She'll be the one coming to me for spares.

So if you take the last tampax, just put chocolate bars in the box, and everything will be ok? This thread is going nowhere fast, and I'm no help at all either. :p

Seriously, it's a good idea though, because they are relatively cheap. I don't like getting petroleum products or solvent on my boresnakes - it wears on the threads, and they're $18-$20 each!

Hmmm, maybe there is something wrong with me; but it's not something I care to checkout with....

I just bought 3 pistol caliber boresnakes a couple of weeks ago from MidwayUSA.com for $10.47 (or something like that) each. The rifle caliber ones were going for $11 and change and I got me one of them, too. :D Get on their Midway Flyer list and they'll send you by mail and email their monthly flyers. Great deals on stuff.

And back to the chocolate discussion..... I've learned that dark chocolate is better for, uh, that time of the month, than milk chocolate. :p
