Well I just read somewhere that early Brownings (I can't remember if it was the Superposed or the Citori) had some issues with rusting chambers. Indeed I recently saw a post where the gentleman said that his would rust by the time he drove from the range to his house. Browning in response to the problem began to chrome the chambers. I guess they have just stuck with it? Personally, I wish the entire bore was chromed, but not big deal.
