Choosing a first and probably only rifle for a short woman

Ladies GUN?

Find a rem model 7 in .260 rem., but don't shoot it or you will be hooked on the most under appreciated crtg.ever. doceaux

One more for the "make it fit" crowd.

I had a 22-250 built a few years back when money was much more plentiful than it is now. I had a stock made for me from a blank. Measured and fitted and all that. There is nothing quite like a rifle stock that is cut to your (my) measurements.

This is .308, short/handy, has a good recoil pad and removable spacers to shorten the length of pull....

As Tom Gresham put it, "The rifle to have if you could only have one."

I want to get one for my skinny as a rail middle daughter, take that silly flash hider off it and replace it with a can..... (check your local laws- Nebraska is suppressor friendly) ....less noise, less recoil, and still shorter than my rifle!

Model 7 in 7mm08, 260 or 243.

.260? .243? The lady mentioned Elk. Folks tell me that my .270 WIN is not enough gun .....

Perhaps I shouldn't have posted here. Sorry for a stupid question.
Kate

The only stupid questions are those that you either knew the answer to and asked anyway, or those that you did not know the answer to and failed to ask ......

This forum is here to share information and opinions, and you are seeking both, no? Then you are in the right place. :D

Good Hunting!

enough gun

A .260 with the right bullet for elk say a 140 nosler partition or barnes triple shock is plenty of gun out to 300 yards. Same goes for the .308 + 7-08.
