About losing manufacturing in the US......years ago, maybe 60, most leather gloves where made in upstate New York,, at a area called “Glover’s Mountain”. Well, somebody decided to have cheaper gloves made, first in Japan, then China. Now it is impossible to buy an American made leather glove. There are no machines, and no workers with the knowledge to make them... Not a big thing,,,,you say. The quality is not the same, and there are some places where nothing but a ‘leather’ glove will do.
This is just an example of what can happen to an entire industry if we allow it to happen.
