Chief's wakup suprise

If you are a good shot with your snubby {I'm no good with a snubby}, can place shots accurately and quickly, then use your Model 60. The Silvertip is a pretty good round, from what I have heard. Shortest revolver I have used to answer the "things go Bump! in the night" call is my Sheriff's Model Vaquero. {I Know, I Know a SINGLE-ACTION revolver ? ? }

That being said, now my bedside table companion in a Springfield Champion model 1911-A1

My home def. is currently a 66-1 loaded to the brim with Doubletap's hot stuff (IIRC it's 158gr gold dot at 1400fps). It'll stop anything I put to the test, I'll wager on it, and I *will* hit at inside-the-house ranges. and then I'll be blind and deaf for a few minutes, but that'll happen anyways :)

Deaf for a few minutes?

I myself have never fired a magnum without ear protection, but I suppose an indoor range counts as firing it indoors? I am concerned about permanent ringing in the ears or something happening. That is one reason I have not loaded up the shotgun and have not kept the magnum loaded on a regular basis. I believe I can get center mass hits with the 158 +p at indoor ranges, especially with my larger grips and two hand hold. I do not find those too bad to shoot from a steel frame snub. Maybe I will check out the Speer 135 loads that were mentioned, next gun show? No shops per se around here. I have other jhp 38 loads that use 125 gr. or so bullets. BTW the guy has not come thru with the cash for the damage and his hearing is tomorrow. Guess I will be making a phone call downtown....

Forgot my glasses! Don't do that!

That's why I include no glasses drills in my practice sessions!!

From close combat distances, you should be able to put decent shots into that soft blur. Unless you are legally blind without your glasses!!
I found that I could do it after just a few weekends of practice!!!
