Check out my latest aquisition!

Looks great, there's something about Stainless Steel to really bring out the fine craftsmanship in a weapon. Of course, the rosewood grips makes the pistol stand out even more.

Expected a picture of Oleg.:D
Damn, Sam...LOL!

Mighty funny. It's a shame you aren't in our area...I suspect our gun show cruises would be a lot more interesting.

And we really need an icon that says 'tongue-in-cheek'. Are you listening, Rich? ;)

I'm getting jealous too.... all these "gun people" doing "gun things" right here in my neighborhood.... and I'm left out. :D Once I get these pesky employment issues out of the way, I've got to meet some of you middle TN people. BTW, the new Para is sweet... can't wait for a range report.

Very nice... I actually thought you were holding a Colt Pocket 9 or Pony at first glance... Had to doubletake when I saw "ParaOrdnance".

Good picture, Oleg. (You're getting really good!)

Getting? Heck, I just thought it was commonly agreed that Oleg was a professional photographer :)

Wish I could get my wife that interested in other pistols. She's happy with just 1 (Kahr MK9)

Love that glint in your eyes Runt. Would hate to be the guy on the wrong end of that cute lil' pistola. "The Devil made me do it," RIGHT?! LOL!!

Does anyone make rubber finger groove grips for the 6.45? Night sights shaped the sam

I don't know if you've found out yet or not, but I have a Springfield Commander(?) that is the 6.45 and I have a Hogue (or maybe Pacmyer...but I think it's Hogue) grip on it that has the rubber finger grooves on it that sounds similar to what you mentioned.

Hope this helps,

Very nice

pistol. The owner? Goes without saying. If it shoots as good as it looks, Runt, your going to be a happy (happier) camper.

But Oleg,

Does anyone make rubber finger groove grips for the 6.45?

why would anyone want to take those grips off? (I know the answer, but they sure do look good!)

Runt

Where's your range report?

I find it hard to belive you ain't gone shooting yet.;)
Please let us know how you like your new Para.
:p

That is one nice little firearm.

Y'all please don't move this post, cause ROTL might not see it.
First, congrats on a nice little firearm. Second, I just wanted to say I am 100% behind women owning firearms (or any law abiding citizen for that matter.) I get so sick and tired of turning on the news and hearing about some poor lady being raped or attacked and think, "you know, if she was armed that a**hole would get what he's got coming to him".

Buddy a mine and I were in a gun store last Friday. In walks a nice looking middle aged lady, looking for a new holster for her Glock 26. I just thought to myself, "man, some bad guy might go pickin on her thinking she doesn't look like much. I'd hate to be that guy".

Anyway, that's my $.02. Again, congrats on a nice buy.

For a minute there I thought you were talking about the shop on Charlotte Pike in west Nashville. Though it's still in buisness that's exactly the response I've gotten when going in the past couple times since they changed owners. I had just gone in to kill some time after work, which is the way I always end up buying the most expensive toys, and was immediately besieged by a wannabeusedcarsalesman. After my "no thanks, just looking around" response to his initial offer to sell me the first thing my eyes locked on he got more and more intrusive, to the point of demanding to know what I wanted, and if there wasn't anything I wanted, what would I buy anyway?

Okay, so he's hungry for a sale.... I run off the few things I might possibly want if I found them at the right price. Mags for uzi and galil, bayonet for m-16 or uzi, and any variant of the H&K P7 series pistol. He didn't know what a P7 was, nor a galil, and then proceeded to make fun of me for wanting a bayonet. Seems he's never heard of a "collector" before. I of course walked out with my creditcard still intact.

A few days later I heard he "dry fired" a gun someone had just removed from their belt without checking the chamber and shot through a rack of holsters into the wall adjoining the neighboring liquor store.

Luckilly there's another shop just down the road from them with cheaper prices and professional employees.

I'm done with my part of the range report; I'm waiting for Oleg to finish with his section and to tell me where the uploaded pics are so I can post them here. I hope to post it later today or tommorow. But I'll give you a hint on the experience: :D

Normalizer,
Don't know of the gun shop you speak of, but the one that was unfriendly was in Columbia, TN. The Franklin Gun Shop people were extremely friendly and helpful, even trying to sell me an Auto Ordnance Thompson afterwards ("a perfect compliment your little .45, ma'am!").

Onslaught...

I've been here a long time. I didn't know just HOW good Oleg was. I just didn't know he was such a pro. I hadn't gone to his site until last weekend. He sent me a page of new pics a couple of days ago, and he's getting even better. (I guess that's what it's all about.) Photography is an art. Some of us can be artists and some of us are "all thumbs" with a camera. I have to take about a hundred 35MM pictures in order to get one good one. It seems that Oleg has the touch and can get it right the first time.
