Charter Revolvers

C0untZer0

I'll be a Charter Arms customer when they come out with their CARR in 9mm...

You bet--They have been talking about this (I believe) since 09? I was/am extremely interested in this as it's supposed to negate the need for moonclips and essentially function just as a centerfire revolver. The only reason I would want a 9mm revolver (people constantly question the reasoning for this seemingly 'strange' desire) is that I have a 'nice' supply of 9mm ammo on hand as opposed to say .38 or .357. I also have a lot of .45ACP but the price for these revolvers are easily north of $500 and that is starting with used guns (S&W 625 alone is around $800-1K NIB and around $6-700 used).

What are the chances they ever patent this technology and actually begin to market the 'promised' product to the consumer:rolleyes:?

-Cheers

I forgot what the snag was - I'd have to chase it down on the Internet again, but I thought the reason why they didn't come out with it is because they were busy just trying to keep up with demand for their other models.

But I did hear Nick Ecker say in a video produced for SHOT Show 2012 that the 9mm CARR would be out this year.

Charter Arms Undercover lite

I bought the undercover light .38 spl NIB about a year ago and it is a nice revolver. The carts. fit a bit tight at first, but after a couple boxes of shooting and cleaning they loosened up. The bottom of the trigger was very pointed/sharp and I filed that off just a bit to make it smooth so it wouldn't bite my finger if it slipped a little low on the trigger during the recoil. The recoil isn't bad, but a little stiffer than heavier snubbies. It is more accurate than I am.

All things considered, it is a good gun.
