That's so true lee, the way things change these days just to help keep a company afloat are too much to keep up with.
 
Mine is the Undercover, the baseline cheapest gun. Perhaps more care in finishing is evident on their higher priced guns. I don't know. I haven't examined any.

I had a chance to look over a couple higher priced Charters today -- a couple aluminum frame guns, anodized pink and purple to appeal to ladies.

The more expensive guns did look better finished. The sight trough was smooth, and the barrel on these two examples did not have the obvious alignment issue mine has.
