CCW Status??

So can anyone tell me how an out of stater goes about getting a Utah CCW?? I have one in my current state, but the Utah CCW has better reciprocity than my current Oregon one does. Can I get a Utah one? If so, how? Does Utah offer a lifetime CCW like some other states do? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You need to take a class from a Utah-certified CCW Instructor, fill out the form, supply a fingerprint card and a passport photo and (I think) $59. Here is the list of approved instructors. Oregon's is on page 7: http://bci.utah.gov/CFP/insoutstate.pdf

The permit is good for 5 years. Renewal costs $10.

So If I take a course from a Utah BCI instructor and am a Texas resident over 21 I can apply for a Utah CCW for $59.00?

$10.00 for a renewal

no wonder.

goodness some 713 area codes in there....

Texas doesnt recognize Alabama but Utah does....

hrmmmm

Yes you can apply for one if you go through the class, I live in Colorado and am only getting the Utah CCW after sitting though 6-7 hrs of class time.

Yes it was ... not sure though but I think it covered both Utah and Colorado... speaking of I am thinking BCI was full of it... still nothing in the mail yet.

Let's see, in the mail Thursday (probably meant in the mail at BCI), actually got to the Post Office Friday, today is a holiday - so no mail, hopefully you'll get it tomorrow.
