Case neck tension ?

What kind of shooting do you do? Standing position, allowing more rolling to the punch, should result in less rotator cuff displacement than firing from the more solid bench position. Perhaps you are standing back with your shoulder against a tree when firing. ;) Those .416s and .458s show little mercy and will do it every time.

CB, only shooting I do is benchrest rest ,with a rear bag Rem. 700 308 cal off a bi - pod. Roll my own ammo. 200 yards.. My season is coming to an end, only shoot 50 degrees and above , guess I'm getting soft.

Yes, I can sympathize with dealing with all those dreadful eastern weather report situations coming across the TV screen, I would guess your range is about to be covered with two feet of snow. Who wouldn't be getting soft? While out here in the usually warm and sunny southland, or whatever else you might want to call it, we get upwards to 365 fairly decent shooting days a year, just dampened sometimes with a little rain. But perhaps that is just payback for one of my big complaints--you guys are always rubbing it in that you have such an abundance of Trail Boss powder while out here in the southland we often do not see any for months. ;) Can't win them all I guess.

50 degrees is about where I call it enough also. We do have an indoor range here, but it's 5 lanes at 100 yards and 4 lanes electronic 100 meters. Time to pull out the ice fishing rods and go plant it on a 5 gallon bucket and fish.
PS- Beautiful 35 above day today and like in 5 minutes the snow storm hit. Came down just heavy for about 10 minutes and then, back to nice day again. ND weather- comes and goes

So far this winter has been pretty good, no snow but I know its just around the corner. Changed the way I cleaned my brass, went from dry to wet tumbler with stainless steel pins. Getting ready to clean & prep all my brass in the cold months.

60 degrees here today in western new york. I am heading to the range shortly. I generally draw the line at 43 degrees and dress warm. We have an indoor range but it is limited to hand guns with target ammo and 22 rifle standard velocity ammo.

I might be able the stretch one more range trip, LI NY max range out doors is 200 yards, there is a indoor range, can shoot high power but at 25 yards max. IMO only good for handgun & 22's

Max range here on LI NY is 200 yards, shoot only when wind mph range is 0 - 10 This year from May into December temp. 50 & above degrees wind O - 10 Good year a lot of trigger time.
