I see the super compact guns as a good thing. They enable you to carry a "real" caliber gun with 10rd. magazine capacity (many of them) when/where years ago you would`ve carried a 5 shot .38,a .25 or nothing. That said,of course they`re harder to shoot than full sized or mid sized guns. I don`t think they`re any worse than the guns they replace though and in many cases they`re better. I often carry a P-11,no matter how hot it gets or what the circumstance is there`s almost never a reason why I can`t be armed with 10rds. of 9mm 124gr.+P Gold Dots. What`s more it conceals super well and it`s light and comfy so it actually comes with me instead of staying home. I believe IDPA and such are a good thing. I`d like to try them myself. For years I`ve tried to make my practice as realistic as possible, with others keeping time and presenting me with scenarios and vice versa. It`s amazing how accuracy and motor skills can go to hell under pressure! This type of practice is critical IMO for CCW holders. The P-11 actually does pretty well in such conditions (course I`ve got close to 6000rds. through it) out to say 15yds.,past that accuracy trails off some but it could still get the job done in a pinch. That said I carry my CZ-75 when I can. I can hit well with that at 50yds.+,my rapid fire groups are smaller and faster and it holds more ammo. In a good IWB holster it conceals very well because it`s so thin in cross section (especially the slide). The CZ75 PCR should conceal and carry even better. They`re also supposed to be very accurate. If you want something even smaller you might want to look into the Kahrs and mini Glocks. I shot a K-9 Elite and was very impressed (although I shot my old P-11 just as well in "combat" drills). The Kahr shot better in slow fire though and with more time I`m sure I could beat the P-11`s performance with it. Marcus
