Carry .380

Not the answer that helps the OP, but I love my Kimber Micro Carry 380. I ponied up the bucks to buy this little guy and it works flawlessly. No regrets on this one.

A second on the new Remington RM 380, super pocket carry pistol devoid of anything but a small slide stop there is nothing to snag. With but 150 rounds through it I have found the pistol to be reliable and accurate if in a phone booth (oops they don't even make those anymore). The trigger is goofy to me but I am still working on that.

But if you had ponied up the bucks to get the polymer Colt Mustang, you'd have money left for lots of practice ammo.

Yes . .

Yes . .

I cannot pass up the chance for a bad pun.

My favorite .380 is the Astra A-60. Very compact, soft shooting, super accurate and a big plus of 13 +1 round capacity.

"The Beretta pico is a great pocket carry"

Whatever happened to the .32 Auto conversion kit for the Pico that Beretta promised?

Last I checked there was no mention of the conversion kit. They have released new grips with a built in laser or light. But I don't see anything about the .32 kits.

I love my Sig P232. It's large enough that you can shoot it well but small enough to carry in a good holster.

Still a promise. Remember how long after the announcement it took for the Pico to actually hit the shelves? Please don't hold your breath - there are people who love you and want you to live.

My primary EDC is a LC9(non striker) and my BUG is a LCP so I couldn't help but chuckle when I read your post :D

I guess I'm a odd ball but I love both of these guns, very accurate, very dependable, very concealable.

I think the DAO LC9 (hammer) is a great gun for those who shoot well with a DA revolver, otherwise it might be easy to "squeeze" rather than "sweep" the trigger, and that would make it hard to shoot well.

Anybody have a preference for a carry .380 less than $350?

Well, no. But are you a veteran or a dependent? If so, check out the prices of the M&P Shield 9 or.40 at your nearest BX. $325.00 reg, $292.00 on sale. It is as small as your LC-9, and smaller than some of the mentioned .380s. I haven't shot mine yet, but I expect it to phase out my 4" K-frame for CCW.

Young Gun,
I like that Astra. Nice looking pistol. Like Double stack PPK. Something a bit out of the ordinary.

like the new rm380

Have been happy with remmington rm380 so far. Feels good in the hand with either flush or extended mag. Reasonable recoil, no hand fatigue after 100 round sessions at the range. Accurate enough at realistic 7 yard distance. Feels very solid and still small enough to easily fit in the pocket. Only complaint is trying to get the little lock pin back in after cleaning. Easy to get it out tricky to line up the holes to get back in. Otherwise very happy so far.

I've carried a Bersa Thunder 380 CC for the last 4 years. It is a prefect iwb ccw. It's light and it's size is perfect. It shoots point of aim with no issues. It could have had some elevated sites but you get used to them quickly. Handles very well and while it's not the largest capacity in the world 9 rounds of .380 isn't a bad deal. I am realistic about what the .380 can and cannot do but at the end of the day it's the one that fits and shoots most comfortably for me. Every time I try to scale up things just don't seem to work out. So despite what anyone has to say about the .380 I'm sure they'll agree that if it's the caliber that has been working for them they'll take it over the 1911 or glock they left at home.

Sig P238 is my EDC and a very good pistola.

If you want to go larger, the Beretta Model 84 in its various versions is a great pistol, if a little on the large size.

Here is another vote for the Bersa Thunder in .380. I like mine a lot because it fits my hand well, is accurate and eats anything I feed it from reloads to factory. I have two other .380s: Beretta mod.34 that is old but shoots well and a Ruger LCP. If I were to rate them I'd put the Bersa first then the Beretta.
Shoot Safe and Often.
