Can't walk away from a .380

Crap. This thread made me start counting my .380's in my head. Every time I thought I was done, I remembered another one!

Colt stainless Govt .380
Sig P232
Colt 1908
Makarov (Russian commercial) .380
Keltec .380

I think that's it. I guess I'm not too far gone.

I think I only have three .380's; SIG p232, Beretta FS84 and a Browning BDA. Did I mention the Browning 1911 .380, on order?

As mentioned, my only .380 is a Russian commercial Makarov, a stand-in for my 3 Makarovs in 9mm Mak caliber, but I would love to have a Beretta 85, a SIG P232 and/or an Astra Constable. I just really enjoy the .380! I really like the full-size, not so much, the sub-compact models

Astra Constables are beautiful, but perform better with wood grips. For a gun that manages better, try the Astra A-60 -- hard to find them in good finish condition though they are a joy to shoot!

Same here. Love the .380s. Here is the list:

Ruger LCP
Beretta 84F
Beretta 85FS
Sig P238
Glock 42
Astra A-60
Kahr CW380

I think .380's are just plain fun to shoot. I can shoot my Browning BDA 380 and G42 all day long until the ammo runs out.

Also, the .380 cartridge is fun for my family to shoot. I have to "urge" them to go in the first place, and when they shoot, they actually have fun with my .380's.

My wife has fired my G43 and doesn't like it but does like the G42. I keep loading magazines and she keeps making holes in paper or exploding our expired soft drink cans. My daughter, who usually grumbles about going shooting, actually has a good time also.

I have an Accu-Tek AT380 which is just terrible to shoot. That is a pocket carry which rarely sees duty.

I didn't know you could have too many .380's. For most people they fit the hand perfectly and are more shootable. I'd agree with most and especially the posts above about the "forgotten" models like the Astra A-60, CZ-83 (built like Ruskie tank!), Bersa Thunder 380 and my current project, an Astra A-50 (SA precursor to the Constable).

The Astra A-60 is a double-column .380 with higher capacity than a Constable. But a very solid piece of kit!

I must admit to having an affinity for the .380 and the handguns that go with them as well. I owned but recently sold a mid 90's Colt Mustang Pocketlite, and now own a SIG P238 and a Taurus TCP738. I have loooong had a real hankerin for a SIG P230/232. No real need for it...I just think it is one of the most sexy handguns ever made...Very cool. I also really like the little Beretta's. If one ever shows it's head around me at a decent price, I will scarf that little fellah up as well.

Beautiful collection you have!

Gotta resurrect an old thread by adding an update: added an Astra Constable to my stable of .380's. Superb gun. Astra made them good back then....

I used to have a Titan 2 for years. I liked it allot, but my wife could not use it.
Slide was hard for her.
So I sold it..... Dummy me..

Not top O the line any thing but I liked it allot and reminded me of a Beretta.
Closes thing I have now is my Bersa Thunder. Gona keep my eye out at the gun shows. If I see one I am buying it.

Reminder.... Dont sell the guns you like... Ever. let the kids fight over them.

Nice collection of 380s. But I am surprised that nobody mentioned the absence of a Mauser HSc in 380. That is my "Holy Grail" in a 380. I will some day add one to my meager 380 stable of a 1934 Beretta, and every day workhose LCP.

My .380 "grail gun" is the hard to find HK P7K3. Never seen it in the flesh.

One of the harder to find .380s, the Sphinx AT-380, came my way a few years ago. It's a good one to add to a high quality collection IMHO.
