The LCRs are both nice. The 357 flavor is just heavy enough to cope with ALL of the various .38+P loads including Buffalo Bore's "king of the hill" 158+P. There's also a good selection of lighter .357 loads very appropriate for a 17oz gun. At that weight class real maxed-out .357 ammo is going to be too much but you don't have to go there.
The SP101 is in many ways the smallest "real 357". I'd recommend the 3" barrel as the ballistics get a nice boost, and depending on how you want to carry it the new 4" variant is really, really nice.
