Canik55 thread

Had more happen later on today. Some light strikes..barely even tapped the primer and two failure to feeds. Going to clean the gun super thoroughly and see if it keeps happening. Happens with all three mags but only the SB ammo. Will update as II figure it out.

Sorry to hear that. I've got about 3000 rounds through my T120 with zero issues. Is it possible a lubricant you have used has gummed up the shaft that the firing pin slides through causing the light strikes?
(Sorry I'm not a gun smith so I'm probably using wrong terminology here.)

Honestly I think that sounds like the most accurate diagnosis to date. I'm planning to clean it thoroughly and use a different lubricant.

SB is known for having really hard primers. When I lightened the hammer spring on one of my revolvers the only ammo it would not ignite was SB. (As a side note, Herters from Cabelas is just SB relabeled-- made in the same factory.) So it might be combination of the two. That said, I've run about 250 rounds of SB through my T120 without a problem.

I have the Tristar C100. $299+tax locally. Good shooter, reliable with 150 rounds through it so far and another 150 going today. I use the 9MM NATO from Winchester in all my nines without any issues. Next I think is the C120.

Could for sure be somewhat a hard primer issue. i feel like the gun really did not like the SB ammo. Ill be polishing the feed ramp. that may get rid of the failure to go fully into battery. (also could be a weak recoil spring) many CZ75s have that issue so i do not see why that could not be a possibility here as well. the sb ammo was so dirty compared to others that i have used...anybody else notice that as well?

Just grabbed some Winchester 147g and federal 124g. I notice that they're quite a bit shorter than the SB ammo I have. Wondering if that would make a difference in feeding.

Note that it's hornaday hst on the far left, then the Winchester, then the federal, and lastly the SB.
