Canadians Boo-ing The National Anthem?

The only good thing that ever (and I mean ever) came out of Canada was Dorothy Stratten. I won't even mention William Shatner...

Could it be we Americans just have more class?

No. It *could be* that Utah folks have more class. But if you see how Yankee fans treat Red Sox fans and vice versa, you'd know that most Americans in certain cities/places are like school in the summer - NO CLASS! (to quote a Fat Albert character).

It's funny; at local hockey games, they play the American anthem before the game, and the Canadian anthem after. I and quite a few other people simply make their way to the door while the canadian and canadian-identifying folks sing. I am still undecided as to whether or not this is rude, and whether they might consider it rude (just walking out during; not boo-ing, mind you). If I thought they did, I'd probably just stand there quietly. But I figure, I'm not canadian, neither of the teams are canadian, less than 1/4th of the players are canadian, and I don't know the words, so why should I stick around for it? Hope I don't offend them...

Yup, that, hockey, and hunting trophies. Even Shania Twain is anti-gun.

Er... Probably right, but not being a Utahn, I was loath to put it that way! :o

Suffice it to say SOME Americans have more class... Golly, I bet SOME Canadians have more class too! :D

When Canadians learn to pronounce the word "house" properly, then they have the right to boo something.

Until such time, they should collectively should shut the #^*# up.

What a useful and penetrating observation. I congratulate you, sir.

How about we all get back on the High Road, 'kay?

Gentlemen, the sad thing about this is that it is not just the Canadians who boo our flag, the anthem and anything else american, its almost world wide. On any given day one sees it happening, on TV, in different parts of the the world in one way or the other. Seems that we have little or no world respect, anymore.
