Can you recommend a good 9mm?

Hello. I suggest the Browning HP 9mm if your tastes run to single-action autos or the CZ75 for DA/SA. The latter also allows for cocked and locked should you prefer it now or later. Original capacity magazines can still be readily had for either. Best.

Since this is not for carry, I'd consider the FEG BHP clone. Around $200 or so, and you get a very nice gun. For killing paper and cans, I prefer single action anyway, and this is a gread deal on a 9mm handgun.

I suggest the SIG Sauer P226 or the Walther P99.

I haven't shot a CZ 75 in over 18 years, so I can't recommend it. All I remember about the experience was that I shot a CZ 75.

Here are some choices to consider. I think highly enough of all of these pistols to recommend them. Try them out and decide for yourself.

Sig 210 (if you can afford it--they cost over 2,000$)
CZ 75 B
CZ 75 B SA
Ruger P95
Sig Sauer Classic Series (225,226,228,229)
HK USP

I consider the CZ to be the best gun for the money (it shoots like a 900 dollar pistol)! The groups I get with the CZ 75 and CZ 97 even amaze me!

I don't put Beretta on the list due to the accuracy issue (since accuracy is mainly what you wanted). Personally, I consider Beretta 92/96 pistols to be a great design in all areas BUT accuracy.

SIG Sauer P225

If you're looking for unequaled quality at a great price you'll find it in a SIG Sauer P225. They're the sleepers of the SIG Sauer line in the US. Folks didn't pay much attention to them here because of the single stack 8 round mags, but they're extremely accurate, 100% reliable, slim, light and compact, and best of all you can get one with K-Kote and SIG Lites for under $550 or a blued standard sight model for $450 from http://www.precisionarmory.com Since these are usually 1997 or 1998 pistols you don't have to worry about the "safety" requirements. Find a local FFL to handle the transaction and order from Precision Armory, you won't regret it.

Here's some info on the P225 http://www.remtek.com/arms/sig/model/225/225.htm and http://www.easterncannon.com/sc_html/sc_p225.html and http://www.gunnery.net/sig/225.html

all the guns you named sounds like a good choice, shoot them if possible before you buy one to see how they fit you,i myself like one with a manual safety on it not one with three safeties that dont work, good luck & good shooting

It's all about the CZ-75. I am dying to own one myself. As of now is is probably the best combat 9mm on the market. Even in cali ive seen them for around 375, Happy hunting

Try the Beretta 92 series. They are relatively cheap (compared to SIG, HK, and, in some cases, Glock) and are very accurate. It'll feed anything and 15-round magazines are still readily available and cheap. What more do you need?:)
