Can blanks be converted to live rnds?

Zero, nil, Nada, zilch, nyet, squat, goose egg, null, no mas . . .

That is, ignoring liability issues.

I'm not afraid to try them out as is and would make sure they're ok. There're just a few that the packing looks further out to the end. Haven't taken one of them apart yet to see what the story is with them. There may even be something in them, extra powder or just not pushed in far enough. The other 230 all look identical. This was a very high end estate sale on the gulf and paid a lot of money for all of them. $5

What did the guy die from? Firearms accident? Testing home made blanks?
These may be available at your estate sale soon.

Potter, I opened up my astrophysics program and ran the numbers based on the weight of anti neutrinos, C, the speed of a shockwave propagation through CO2 at sea level, and the density of blank newsprint as standardized by the war dept in 1942. The program suggested a 15 grain plug of paper and wax. Footnotes applied recommended a dash of graphite, a subjecting the substances to approximately 5degrees Kelvin while testing to ensure complete safe.

They died from old age in there 90's. If I could have brought them back on the plane, id be testing a few tomorrow. I'm all for being safe , but you're making it sound like there's nitro glycerin in them. ? There's really nothing to build up much pressure. I was able to easily pull the plug out with a small pick. I guess even without the little bit of powder in them the primers could be like dynamite.

Finally got around to trying them out. And ahh ha... Just as I suspected.
They work perfectly as blanks. Guess they could be used for training, scaring critters or sporting events as a starter pistol.
Personally I just really don't have a use for them. Thought I'd sell 200 and keep the rest for whatever.
