Can a Mass resident buy a handgun out of state legally?

Schoolies in the Canal??? no no no, there are pleanty of bigguns in the canal, try over by the power plant with squid or cut bait. I did ok last night :)

Auburn's range is ok, but i haven't shot there in some time (maybe 7-8 years or so.)

BTW, one of the Glock 26's I saw recently for $500 was down here on the cape in Hyannis. If you're down here fishing, have a look over there.

What gun shops are there in Hyannis? The Goose Hummock?

I usually plug near the power plant and chunk and squid on the other side near Scusset. I've had luck recently, just no keepers. The only close to keeper size I got so far was a 25 incher at the Maritime on a sluggo.
Good Luck

The shop in Hyannis is The PowderHorn. He's a pretty good guy, had a sign on the front of his display back when 940 CMR went into effect that read, "I cant sell you a firearm because you don't F&@%ing vote".

The keepers are there, i've done ok so far this year around 0200 at low/high slack. Actually, up until a couple days ago, there have been gobs of squid around, and i haven't been forced to buy any bait yet this year :).

Also try under the train bridge at night, on the state side.

(Don't worry, i'm not giving you all of my secrets! :) )

This is off Jeepster's topic, but considering how many Worcester County people there seem to be reading this forum I thought I would ask another question.

Where is a good, but relatively cheap place to shoot around here? I'm originally from Wyoming where I literally went outside onto my property and shot away! I just hate the idea of paying big membership bucks everytime I want to practice. Any ideas? I have GOAL and NRA membership already as some clubs require that.

Thanks!

I am looking for a Glock 30 myself. Just stopped into Four Seasons yesterday. The new display cases are depressing. I hope that they can turn a profit on the rest of the stuff and mail order to out of state.

I had $1000 in my pocket and would have snapped up that G30 in a heartbeat. Instead I ended up walking out with 3 boxes ammo and a case for my SAR-1. I guess it wasn't a total loss.

A Massachusetts TFL meet / shoot would be great. I know that a few of the TFLers here are members of BRP. Perhaps we should post a roll call request for people in Mass ?

I was down at South Cape Beach watching them pull in a lot of eel grass and kelp last weekend. Have things started to heat up ?

Believe me, I can't wait to get out of this *&%$hole Worcester!

No, I came to New England for college, and now, graduate school. Somehow fell for a Mass girl along the way, and am a M******* myself now. Not that I don't appreciate some aspects of Mass. (especially the striper fishing), but I can't wait to return home someday.

Wyoming is heaven! I'm from Sheridan/Big Horn Mountains where they DON'T have to stock the trout rivers...

I grew up in Auburn, so as a kid i shot a bit in the sandpits behind the Auburn Sportsman's club, and in the sandpits in Oxford (Green Briar.) Both of these places will get you arrested for shooting now.

The Auburn Sportsman's Club has an ok range, it's only about 75-100m, outside only. There is an indoor range in Worcester now, but it's beaucoup expensive, not worth it.

Many of the other places i've shot at while younger are now "Wildlife Management Areas" which are off limits to target shooting, camping, ATVing, etc.

Effectively you'll be forced into buying a membership for $100 per year.

I would be open to a Mass TFL shoot. If one comes up count me in. The range I belong to is just over the MA border in RI. Great range. A little pricey but it keeps the unsafe shooters in the sand pits and away from me. (@$175 per yr.)

Glad I bought a few pistols while the gettin was still good !!!!!!

All Mass TFL'ers lets start one post in general and if you are a Mass TFL 'er respond to it. That way we can have an accurate count. I belong to the Braintree Rifle & Pistol club. I don't think that I could bring alot of people at one time but maybe we could arrange something. Also a striper fishing get together would be EXCELLENT !!! I will put a post in general title mass tfl'ers. You guys can respond in the post or email me.

If you are down on the cape on the first and third Sundays of the month Monument Beach Gun Club has a high power shoot. Starts at 8:00 am. Its open to non members, they follow the DCM service rifle rules, but you can use just about any long gun. Five or six bucks for non members. Right off McCarthur Blvd, Rte 28, in Bourne heading off cape. See you there.
If you are at Four Seasons, check out Collectors Coin Gallery in Stoneham on Rte 28 at intersection of Montvale Ave. About 10 minutes from Four Seasons. Just drive down Winn Street into Woburn Center, and if you don't have a map ask for directions to Montvale Ave. Its a straight run out of the square to Stoneham.
