Cabela's SLOW Shipping

When I order from Cabelas my order is always 2 or three days earlier than what they tell me on my order form. Example last week on the 11th I ordered some ammo and it was on my doorstep on the 13th. It's like that with most orders from them. My nearest cabelas is 2 hours away.

Would you rather have invested an entire day and $50 in gasoline in driving 180 miles just to pick up a gun instead of waiting for it to arrive? There's a lot more important things to do with your time and energy than rail about this kind of thing.
 
On regular (non-firearm) catalog orders, I've always been impressed at how fast my package arrives-two to three days at most, most of the time. And, believe me, I've ordered a lot of stuff from Cabelas over the years. :o
