Buying & Selling Binge: Part II

I guess the only guns I own that I don't plan to sell or trade are my Freedom Arms revolvers. Anything else is fair game if I happen to see something I want. And I don't particularly care if I lose money on the deal. I just consider any loss to be a long term term rental fee...

Having shot both Ruger Redhawk and the S&W 624, I would have kept the Rehawk instead. However, owning a gun is a personal thing I guess, as long as you are happy, WHY not?:)

PS. Nice pictures, I wish I can take pretty pictures like you!

PSS. Good job on keeping all of your collection in mint condition.

Why did you sell the NAA? You have had that thing forever right? I figured you would keep it just for fun/nostalgic value.
It was actually the gun I have owned the longest of the guns I bought for myself. I just did not see any reason to keep it since I see it as kind of a novelty more than a useful item. I am not too terribly sentimental about such things.

Always wanted one of the Colts like that, and now they are priced out of reach, as I was layed off and am going back to work at about 2/3 pay. You can buy Beretta 92s all day long cheap, used. I got a similiar Beretta but would not have traded a really sweet gun for it. I got it cause it was cheap used and a quality gun. Well I guess you will always have your photo album to look over. People keep albums of family or pets, you keep pretty photo albums full of guns. That sir, is probably unusual.

I would love for you to point me to where I can buy stainless Beretta 92FS compacts cheap. I could resell them for a fortune since I have been getting tons of unsolicited offers on this one. :)

I have been doing this kind of trading, buying and selling

for 40 years or so, just in the last few years that I got tired of it.
I have a small group of guns now for use in my retirement and it's pretty funny to me that I started 40 years ago with .22's, .45 Autos and .308's and ended up 40 years later with-----
.22's, 45 Autos and .308's, with a few odd calibers added.

Never hung on to a lot of money but I had my fun and sure got to experience a lot of different guns over the years.

Enjoy yourself. If you like what you got, you made a good trade.

I suspect that most of us have a little PBP in us. In the last 12 months, I:
sold my S & W 686SSR and bought a 66 no-dash; sold my 17-5 and bought a 27-3; and I'm now in the process of selling my 617 no dash and buying a Ruger SR9. And, so it goes.

PBP,
Pardon my ignorance, what makes a Colt Delta Elite special ?
How is it different from other stainless fixed-sighted 1911's ?

Thank goodness you're OK, Playboypenguin!

For a while there, I thought you were expecting a zombie attack!

I've always admired your photographs---keep up the excellent work!

I went on a little buying and selling binge awhile back when I decided to refine my collection a bit. I just completed round two of the collection "refining" and thought I would post the results

I'll never let my wife see this comment. I told her it takes to much paperwork, background checks and the transfer fees are outrageous to sell guns to private citizens. Hey, thats why I keep all my old guns that I no longer want.
