Buying a gun from a stranger

If I purchase from a private party I always contact my State Patrol and ask them to run the firearms serial #.

I have conducted internet business for fourteen years.
I've bought and sold numerous guns.

I've never bought from an auction or broker site, only from forums (such as this, or the Ruger Forum, or the USPSA site).
So far, no burn........

I continue to have faith in the goodness of most people.
