Bush's military medals

And I bet that 98% of Marines, Army, Air Force, and Coast Guard agree with me.
In addition to that, if there's anything that 10 years as an enlisted AF member has taught me it's that a Lieutenant should never be in charge of anything. :)

As for GW's National Guard service, what was the accident/injury/mortality rate for those flying jets? If he'd wanted a safe position, he could have applied for mess sergeant.

If he wanted to be safe, he'd have joined any reserve unit. Unlike the Guard, reserve units were not sent to Vietnam.

Perhaps some haven't noticed, but fighter jets crash once in a while even without help from enemy fire. It's sure not combat, but it's not exactly playing bumper cars, either.

He was there as PCF 94's OIC, then he abandoned them on the field of battle. He wasn't carried out, he wasn't crated out

OK. You go into a combat unit. You get wounded 3 (three!) times in several months. Wouldn't it be reasonable at this point to think, heck, "I've escaped near death a few times to many and too often?" How many people have that many wounds receved in so little time?

I've only ever heard of one that did, who didn't spend a single day in the hospital from any of the wounds.

His name is John Forbes Kerry.

Are you seriously trying to call any of Kerry's "injuries" life threatening? :)

I've gotten worse injuries playing with my cats

I was there with Kerry in Christmas of '68, I didn't want to be, but when President Nixon sends you in at only six and a half years old, you GO!

:p

Not only when the president sends you, but when the President-Elect sends you!

Man, that Nixon was some little power-tripping liar! He started sending toops to Cambodia and lying about it a month before he was sworn in!

:D

Nixon...

I can't believe that somebody would defend Clinton, then castigate Nixon, or vice versa. IMO, if you can't see the crap in your own "party", you lose all credibility. I am an "I", by the way, if you can't tell.

I can understand mediots like CNN, FOX, Rush, Franken, Moore, O'Reilly, etc. defending "their guys" as they have a vested interest in spinning-they sell books, advertising space, etc. but I have little respect for regular americans who don't see that the guy that they voted for or who they share views with, is a piece of $hit. By the way, I have read a couple of books by some of these guys and they are on the same reading level as Superman. They appeal to the LCD who are easily manipulated.

Man, if you vote for a guy, does that mean you have to defend him regardless of what he does or does that mean you have the most right to be pi$$ed when he screw the pooch?

What color is the sky in this world you have created for yourself where people with an "R" or "D" beside their names are infallible?

Generally, by the time a guy runs for President, he is the kind of guy I don't want in office.

The first time I ever heard of John Kerry, was while watching A.F.T.N. in a debriefing hootch in Bien Hoa,Rep.S.Viet Nam. I didn't care much for what he was saying then, and I have absolutely no reason to listen to what he's preaching now.

I lost a few friends there, but I didn't leave any behind due to an early E.T.S.

As usual Running Gunfight, I really can't understand your post. It makes no sense.

The bit about Nixon is an inside joke available only to those of us who understand that Presidents are elected in even numbered years e.g. 1968, but only inaugurated, or installed into office if you will, in odd numbered years. Mr. Kerry used to invoke his Christmas of '68 "Black Ops" story all the time. During the Contra (and other Central American) controversy(s) he even spoke the words on the floor of the Senate; saying that the experience was "... seared -- SEARED in me!"
I am an "I", by the way, if you can't tell.
That's what Mr. Kerry is hoping for, since the stories he tells are so filled with errors, falsehoods, reversals, untruths, deceits, blatant lies, etc., ad nauseam, ad infinitum, that a person would have to be an "I" or a "D" to buy what he is trying to sell.
