Bushnell scope ?

Go to Mueller's web site. They specifically list the APV as a rimfire scope and will not honor the warranty if put on a center fire rifle. There is a wealth of info if you do any research on this and a lot of very disappointed people have ruined this scope shooting it on a centerfire rifle. You can put any scope on a centerfire and say you don't have a problem but shoot it a while and see what happens. If you don't shoot much at all it may last a little while. However, when the manufacturer advises against it, it's probably a good idea to take their advice.

Since they list the APV under "Big Game Scopes", I'm confident they don't intend it to be on rimfire only rifles.
There's not one mention of "rimfire" in the scopes description.
They also have a link to the warranty page right at the bottom of the APVs description and the warranty says NOTHING about being void if mounted on a center fire rifle. It is the exact same warranty as every Mueller scope.
Besides that, naming a scope "All Purpose" and making it 14 power doesn't exactly encourage people to mount it on rimfire rifles.

I disagree with those who say you have to get at least a 3200 to get a decent scope.Banners are quite good for the money and I bet they would serve 90% of all shooters just fine.

I have to add that I use mine in near total dark depending on the moon. With a small red spotlight clipped to the top and I turn it on long enough to make positive id of the target.

So if it works in those conditions, should work in daylight.

I have an older low power (1.5-4x32) Bushnell 3200 scope on my Marlin and it has worked well. I recently picked up a 3-9X40 Bushnell 4200 scope for my .308 bolt gun and have found it to be very sharp and clear scope.

Love my elite series! Clear, draws lots of light and never had it fog, rain or shine. I recheck at the shooting range at the begining of each hunting season. This was the 5th season for the one on my .300 WM and has always maintained zero and a lot less than some of the other manufacturers of which I own a few and wouldn't say they are any better than the Bushnell. What else could you ask for!
