And your point is? That's why commanders have subordinates...to initiate action and feed them information. I know you would have liked to have seen him jump up and run around screaming like a little girl, but he waited calmly for facts. And much to his credit he read the story to the children while he waited.

See, that's why he's President and you and yours are sitting around waiting on appeasement. ;)

P.S. - "Tax and spend is the American way." Should be, but as it's done it's really spend and then tax.

The distinct difference is that in every case prior to FDR, the income tax was repealed once the war was over. Add to that the new and exciting flavors of taxes that emerged from FDRs administration, and you have one huge cluster-...bomb.
