Bush swears, microphone still on.

I do not mind a leader wgho would call someone an a$$hole or whatever. It was intended to be a private conversation and as such does not require the same standards of propriety or PC'ness.
I can only conclude that GW doesnt like him.

He's got my vote. He may swear, but he's not a liar.

Straightshot has a point. If Clinton or Gore had done this, they'd be telling us right now how we "misunderstood" their expression of mild disagreement with the reporters--then they'd shake their fingers at us and scold us for daring to intrude on such a private matter.
GW seems to be able to dust himself off and go on. I hate to admit it, but I'm starting to like him. It's not what I expected.

Maybe Bush and Bryant Gumbel could have a TV special where they each apologize at the same time?

I'd love to see Dubya call a press conference and say he was wrong in call that reporter a major league -------. He is in fact a minor league -------.

Anybody remember when Chris Matthews played the part of a Hilardy Clinton press conference after the impeachment vote in the senate? As she walked away from the podium a reporter asked about divorce and she told him in an audible voice "why don't you go to the next room and bend over." Nothing was made of this of course.

Notice that Bush didn't apologize to that ******. He just said he regretted it was heard on a public microphone. A big difference there, and one I like. Clymer is an ********. He was the NY Times reporter who took the tapes from the DNC that were just "happened" to be overheard from a couple with a two-way cell phone scanner and a recording system while they just "happened" to be near Newt Gingrich while he was in conversation with Dick Armey. And Clymer published the conversation. ******? He's a DNC operative.

My God, folks, we're coming off an administration where the most powerful person in the world is having sex with a woman his daughter's age while discussing troop deployments in Bosnia!! An administration that may well have sold our top nuclear technology to the Chinese for campaign dollars. And GW's getting gored for calling a NY Times reporter an a******?

Bill Press, Geraldo Rivera, Margaret Carlson, Mark Shields, Al Hunt, J. Rosenthal, William Raspberry, Sandy O'Grady, and all the rest?
They're not a******'s. They're the vermin of this earth, the propagandists of a society they believe will benefit all, but will ruin all. As Clemenze said, "don't take no chances, kid. Two shots to the head each."

Two quick points . FIRST: When the rescue attempt in Iran screwed up Carter apoligized for even trying . ASS H*LE!!! You don't say you're sorry if you believe in what you are doing or saying . Anyway the rescue attempt was 500,000 troops under manned IMHO .
SECOND: The mike was also on when "somebody" said " I did not have sex with that woman" . Therby making him the biggest liar in the world in recent (or any) history .
