Bullet Pullers?

sy to make your own that works beter than the kinetic I bought. you know those "throwing knives" that have a big front blade and has the three holes down the handle? you take a cut0off wheel and cut a straight line down the middle of the holes, and drill out the holes to the size you need....viola, you have a press mounted bullet puller for all calibers. ill post a pic tomorrow to better explain...but essentially, it makes this......

from this....

these knives are less than 5$ at any flea market

Well, I'm retiring the 12 pound chunk of crap to the scrap heap!

This Hornady is easy to set up if you are familiar with how a collet works,
I was pulling in about two minutes after wrestling it out of the packaging.

It pulled the expensive ballistic tips without damage out of .308 & .300 WSM without issues.
No case damage, and its FAST compared to the piece of crap I was using.

With the .223 rounds, I had to tighten it up a time or two since a couple were crimped a little tighter than usual.
Most time I don't have to cam over, just put a little pressure on the bullet and down stroke and its done.

Since the collet is actually used backwards to most applications, I can see there would be an issue with lead bullets,
The collet isn't turned to where it bites tighter, which is great for pulling these thin jacket varmint bullets without damaging them.

Thanks guys, this is a great deal!

Collet-type pullers are great for jacketed bullets, but not so much for lead bullets. I use an RCBS collet puller, but keep a kinetic-type for lead.
