If you're looking for a budget safe along the lines of a "Stack-On", then you might want to check a used office supply store for storage cabinets. I found a 2 foot by 2 foot by 6 foot high model for $60. Three partitions -- tall door on one side for rifles, four foot door on right side with shelves for handguns and supplies, two filing cabinets on right side bottom that I use for ammo. Pretty heavy steel and all doors lock. More sturdy than a Stack-On -- but no fire protection. Will keep kids and smash-and-grab thieves out.
