Browning X-Bolt Long Range Hunter

Guys, I just put money down on a new Browning X-Bolt Long Range Hunter in 6.5 Creedmore. I am exited about the gun, but just heard that the trigger sucks and that there is nothing you can do about it. Has anyone heard this same rumor?

Nonsense. I have a Browning X-Bolt in .308 and I love the trigger. That is actually what sold me on the rifle. Sure, it isn't a 2lb Savage Accutrigger.... but in my opinion... it is far better. The trigger is adjustable down to 3.5lbs. Plenty low for hunting situations. There is ZERO creep in the trigger. I believe that it moves less than 1/78th of an inch when pulled. It breaks like glass and IMHO is better quality than the replacement Timney triggers for the Rem 700's.

At 100yds, My rifle has a 1/4" spread for 3 shots. Out of the 3 shots, I had just 2 holes. 1 of the rounds went through one of the original holes.

All in all, you will not be disappointed with the rifle. It is light weight and durable. The action is spectacular and glassy smooth too.

As a side note, the action is glass bedded at the factory. They do a great job.

Thank you, I went down to the gun shop where I have it on Lay-a-way and we pulled it out so I could get a feel for the trigger, you are right! It was set at the factory for 4.5lbs. and there was "0" creep in it. I think I will be very happy with this gun. I am just a little timid about using the 6.5 for Moose, Bear or Caribou, but perhaps I will keep my 7MM for that. You have helped alleviate my reservations, thank you for responding.
