Broad-based Gun Ownership vs Right-wing Assumptions

Good Thread.

I would encourage you to be who you are. If you're pagan or whatever, be pagan. Since you're pro-RKBA, be pro-RKBA. Don't allow anybody to continue the foolish steriotype of only Christians as being pro-gun. Because there are MANY christian denominations that are not. Quaker, Menonite, UMC and others.

You'd be shocked at the number of Christians who are anti-gun. I find this true in my church.

As for me.

* Theologically: Devout Christian. Calvanist who has real problems with Robertson and many other popular people who claim Jesus as their teacher.

* Politically: Libertarian.

* Personally: White, male, heterosexual, happily married and expecting youngn' number two.

Also, religious organizations rarely speak for all of the people they claim to represent. John Taffin, for example, is a Quaker.

Anyone see the movie "The Gun and Bible Glue" ? It shows up on IFC every once in a while. Hilarious !

Usually politically liberal as the conservative end typically turns out to be
economically conservative and screws the worker.

Strongly RKBA but one of those who think that some laws are needed and they wouldn't be troublesome to lawabiding folk.

Rabidly against prejudice against all including gays. Strongly for absolute church-state separation. Pro-choice.

Agnostically protestant.

The stereotype is used against us and I will argue with those who start threads for armed revolution or can't help themselves from gay bashing or abortion threads.
