British Intelligence Warned of Iraq War

I apply varying amounts of windage to any story I read, period. Some times the windage is left and some times right. But in virtually every case I walk away with information I deem accurate.

. . . . . all except for the Washington Post and Noo Yark Times. I keep twisting the windage knob off trying to correct for their obvious worldviews.

I'll refrain from commenting on the WP's article until I see the same information in a respectable media outlet. . . . .oh, say, Mother Jones. :D

"To hear some people talk you'd never guess that a sophisticated, wealthy area like Washington D.C. was THE venue for Bluegrass for almost 4 decades from the mid 50's to the mid 90's."

I have many very fond memories of the Seldom Scene at the old Birchmere... Not to mention all the other Blue Grass luminaries who have played there over the years...

The Empire Strikes Bush.

Because there 's nothing like throwing gasoline on a fire in the hopes of putting it out.

This is a laugh. It is like the intelligence arm of the Germany army claiming that "Germany was warned of the impending invasion of Poland".

Although it no doubt took place from the standpoint of individual intelligence personnel, in that all intelligence services are compartmentalized - and they'd just be doing their job.

But a "surprize" to Tony Blair? Right. :D

Mike - The Seldom Scene is coming to the Birchmere on 5/20 !!!!

Back on topic, I get a kick out these "secret" papers and memos and such. Governments are constantly writing position papers and memos on every possible subject from every possible angle. It's called looking at the pros and cons.

John

Yeah, I know John. I still keep up with the schedule.

But, the new Birchmere just isn't the same. It's not as... fun.

And, the Seldom Scene just hasn't been the same since their old mandolin player passed on.
