Thinking out loud here...
I can think of no better way to affect change than to affect the wallets of those capable of making change. A national boycott of all things NY: Tourism, Services, Manufacturing, etc.... Once business starts dropping off, these politicians will be made painfully aware that their grab went too far.
btw, as a small business owner, I shudder to suggest this, but I am at a loss for a viable solution.
