Bought a new Savage M12. Need scope mounts

I bought a new Savage M12 BVSS in 223 and I need to buy some scope rings or mounts. I really don't know what I need as it want be shipped until next week. I can't find anything on the Savage site so I thought I would ask y'all. Don

Anything that will fit a short action Savage 10 will fit your rifle. There are lots of options, depending on how you want to set up your rifle. Everyone makes bases for that rifle.

Lots of folks like the EGW base for that rifle, but again, you have lots of options. You can get 20MOA mounts, or you can get the standard Weaver mounts, or you can get the Leupold/Redfield type mount. Lots of choices.

I like the DNZ Gamereaper mounts http://www.opticsplanet.net/dnz-dednutz-game-reaper-scope-tube-mounts.html I put on my 110 7 Mag. Easy to install, very well made and affordable.

Ditto on the EGW base. Set up my son's Savage with one.
May as well get the 20 MOA base, can't hurt in case you end up needing the extra adjustment range.

Rings are a matter of preference/taste...some like QD, some prefer tactical style, some traditional. Ring height is of course going to depend on the optic you end up with.
