I normally carry a S&W 637 2" snubby 38 special. Great carry gun. I just got a Snake Slayer as my BUG. Love this little thing and it packs one big punch with 410 ga self defense shot ammo.

Stupid question all around - you know whether you want one or not and if you have to ask then you don't want one

Another form of machoism in its only for men! This is stupid I like recoil, but don't care for stupid pains in shooting a gun that hits like catching a softball bare handed!

Recoiljunkie44, you should change you name to Recoilwimpie! And you were shooting a 38 spl...
My daughters love shooting my Bond 45 Colt/.410. They don't flinch; because they're not afraid of it.

What do you carry for protection? A water gun?:D

Hamhead, Where did that question even come from?

vsorrentino, Great pair of guns! Nice too!

Do those Snake Slayers really weigh 21-22oz or so as advertised?

It seems so heavy when compared to polymer compact 9mm such as a glock 26 or M&P at only a couple oz's more.

Ive wanted to get one but its hard to justify.

Even the Texas Defender 3" barrel comes in at 20oz

Yes, because they're made to last. (They have a LIFETIME WARRANTY!) The weight also helps with the recoil; even though some still whine about it. If you like a small, powerful, easy to conceal handgun, you should find one to hold & shoot. The trigger is fairly hard when they're new; I broke mine in with some .410 snap caps and about 200 rounds of various .410 loads. I've got 3 barrels for mine: 4 1/4" Snake Slayer IV 45 Colt/.410, a 3" 44 special & a 3" 357 magnum. They are all fun to shoot. I carry mine almost everywhere I go.
