Bob Lee Swagger is the Man

Good for him! :D Always nice to hear about a Hollywood type that resists jumping on the socialist bandwagon.

I love to read about Bob Lee Swagger too! What an awsome hero for adventure books. I loaned "Point of Impact" to a friend. His wife picked up the book one day and started reading it. She's very much a Christian, and even though the language bothered her, she couldn't put it down! She understood why the language was there, and the story was just too compelling! Darn it, David Robinson, I was just about to read that one! I'll still read it. My vote for an actor might be Glenn Scott.

Just got in from work. I should have anticipated such a response from TFLers--guess I'm just a late bloomer to Bob Lee Swagger. When I went shooting Friday with the guy who loaned me the paperback, he knew I was interested in a Turkish Mauser (something with range and punch--thanks for the inspiration, Bob Lee!). Methinks I'll get one this summer and become an acolyte of the long-range church. Funny how a book can inspire you; I discovered all the plinking I've ever done with my Mod. 45 Mauser was just a bunch of pussyfooting around. Now more than ever I'm interested in the science behind rifle shooting. Goes to show what a good book can do for you.

All digressions aside, I'll come back to Hunter's writing, but tonight, I'm going to begin reading my first Louis L'Amour novel, _The Walking Drum_. Know it ain't a western, but it comes highly recommended from my shooting buddy.

BTW, my Bob Lee Swagger vote went to Tommy Lee Jones, but darned if Tom Berenger isn't a good choice too.

"I deal in lead, friend."
