blow back vs. locked breech please

Hey, I saw a Warner Infallible at the Austin TX gun show last weekend! It caught my eye just because it WAS so UGLY.

Can't remember what price it had on it.

Cheers,

Those "Infallible" pistols weren't. Which is why they don't sell for much and fall a bit into the curio category. Also, if the spring rods are not locked into the breechblock properly, they can be very dangerous, as in getting an eye full of breechblock.

Jim, the Warner Infallible falls completely into the curio category, because it's sure not a gun that I'd ever shoot! After taking mine apart and seeing how it was made, I decided that while it's probably capable of launching a bullet or two, it would just as likely launch gun parts. However, it sure makes you the winner when you get into an ugly gun contest! :D:D

Hi, Johnwill,

I have two Infallibles, two out of the three different models. Does that mean I win something? I have shot both, but (like the business with the porcupines) carefully, very carefully.

C.R.Sam, They have inner beauty that you can't see. :D:D

Jim,

If you can take them out and look at both of them at once, you do win the prize! The best I can do is take out my Infallible and my Nambu Type 94, but I think the Infallibles win out in the ugly contest, ugly as the Type 94 is. :) After seeing the casting with the overflow and the cheap metal that the innards are made of, I made the decision not to shoot mine. :D
