Blisters and raw spots

adjusting your grip may help, it may not feel as comfortable to shoot but it can prevent the raw spots. I have to hold my 2 auto's different based off of if I use the same grip for both. If I don't I get a blister on one, or my slide wont lock back on the other due to grip. The reason I blister though is because my thumb on my strong hand is too high based off my grip and the manual safety comes back on the recoil and scrapes my knuckle, adjusted my weak hand a little so my strong hand thumb can adjust and ride a little lower and problem was solved.

I keep wondering if Elmer Keith ever fired 50 rounds of magnum loads in one session. I never fired that much at once when I was still shooting and rarely even that many .22 rimfire rounds in one session with a pistol. Keith did say the .357 magnum was for people with weak hands, however.

You want a gun that tears your hand up shoot a nagant revolver. The 400 lb trigger pull makes keeping a good trigger finger position almost impossible and you'll eventually wind up getting your finger pinched in the trigger when it finally does break.
