Blaser .45 ACP. Do you like the stuff?

On top of that, the aluminum cases are not that much different in weight as the brass cases.

Have you weighed the difference on a digital scale to check the difference between a brass and an aluminum casing? If so what was the weight difference?

I'm curious, are there any reloaders out there who have a digital scale that could give us a weight comparison between a standard brass case loaded with a 230gr fmj and a blazer 230gr fmj?

Also, it was a single occurance, not enough to warrant a magazine spring replacement or omething to indicate a faulty magazine or ammo type. It was just an observance of a single round. The mag used was a Mc Cormick 8rd mag with appox 700 rounds though it. I even shot a few mags full of S&B afterwards with no malfunctions.

Not trying to bash Blazer, because it is good practice ammo, but I will state that it performed poorly in my Kimber. I would venture to say that it performed about the same as PMC ammo. If it had a bit less flash I would definitely want to use it with my handgun indoors. S&B had no flash that was detectable from my handgun or the G30 I used to shoot.

I used to use Blazer but no longer do. I also found the muzzle flash to be more than I wanted, and I can get S&B and Fiocchi for a little more and they produce re-loadable brass. I have not found Blazer ammo to be particularly accurate or inaccurate.

I have on occasion come across Blazers on sale and bought a bunch and shot it up. After thousands of rounds of it. . . I like it! I think it is better than buying some unknown reload. Plus, I don't reload.
