Blackhawk grips

Only if its your open mind and willingness though right? Because you sure aren't open to what works for me. And thank you so much for your righteous teaching on how my gun should work for me lol. My God where would we be with out people that know everything. The insulting manner you brought this post too, by telling us all that like finger grips, that we are basically stupid to even think of putting such things on our gun is well just!!!! The OP asked for finger grips not for some purist to insult him and everyone else that likes something different than you like.

Lol I just think there neat lookin and look comfy to shoot I don't have large hands ( probably normal size ) I've tryed every way to shoot with the factory grips on my blackhawk and single six and I don't like them. I just put wood on my blackhawk but haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. I just really like the way the hogue grips look I really like the camo like coops I'll more than likely get those my guns are for hunting and target shooting I don't cas and don't really care if someone don't like the way my guns look I worked and bought them as long as I like the way they look who cares. Golly can't we all just get along.

My God, where would we be without people who know more than we do who we can learn from? We all learn from somebody. We all start at zero. I thought we were all here to learn from each other???

No, I don't know everything but I know a few things. Particularly about single actions, as they are my primary interest and passion. I only own a couple dozen of them. I've only been spending most my free time and money shooting them, accumulating them, handloading for them, tuning them, customizing them and most recently, making my own holsters. I try to learn from those I can and help others when possible. I've gone through A LOT of trial and error in finding what grips work for me and what grips do not. If I can help anyone avoid all that trial and error I went through, I will. When I say a lot, I mean that I have 20+ pairs of custom single action grips in current use. Probably as many languishing in the parts box. At $100-$250 a pair, that's big investment and a lot of trial and error. It is my opinion that folks jump on the oversized grips because they're cheap and they don't know any better. Because it makes them feel more like their familiar double actions. That's not meant to sound elitist but like I said, we all have to start somewhere. It is my opinion that they are an abomination and a crutch at best. It is also my opinion that if folks are taught the proper way to handle a single action, including gripping, cocking, loading and unloading, that they will find traditional styled grips of the proper shape and fit to be vastly superior to those big ugly things.

But like I also said, some folks you just can't help. Obviously.

What grips someone puts on his/her gun is based on what works for them. There is no right or wrong choice as long as they are happy with their decision. I put the hogue on mine because when its 35 degrees out and raining with cold hands they provide a nice grip for me. I dont expect everyone to like my choice and thats fine its not their gun.

Well Said...
