Robert, that's actually what I meant...I didn't mean to say that the BFR couldn't outclass the .454. Since the BFR is the only production .45-70 (as far as I know), I just said that the BFR couldn't do it. Did I clear things up? .45-70 ammo is, as you said, made for rifles, and as such has a slower burn rate. Makes perfect sense. I enjoy my Casull, but eventually, I'll get a .475 Linebaugh or a .500.
