Big Lie About Agent's MP5 Subgun

I just heard on an ABC Radio News report, that King Klinton's Minister of Propaganda announced that "...the INS SWAT agent who had the subgun pointed at the fisherman holding Elian, had a SAFETY LOCK on the subgun."

No cop making entry is ever going to have a "safety lock" on his firearm.

The large picture on the front of the Idaho Statesman, Sunday, showed very distinctly that there was no "Safety Lock" on the MP5, and the "safety" itself, was in the "fire position.

I've fired many, many rounds through MP5 sub guns, and I know how they work.

The Big Lie continues! And the communistnazi controlled media will spin this the way the Supreme Shogun, the King of Kings, His Most Imperial Majesty, wants it spinned, and the bliss ninnies and Klinton lovers will, in their stupidity, believe it. J.B.

Well, if this is the kind of 'safety lock' the anti's want, BRING IT ON! I'm already in compliance! Next thing you know, they'll be asking for a little light that turns on when you open the refridgerator!

This does not jibe with the AP photo run in the local newspaper with the officer nearly touching Elian and the MP5A3's front sight ring nearly contacting the officer's left forearm.

The photo gives enough detail to identify the old-style 'S-E-F' trigger group. The white hash mark on the selector shaft appears to be positioned at an upward angle '\' towards 'S' (safe) instead of straight across '-' to 'E' (semi-auto) or angled down '/' towards 'F' (full-auto). (The 'F' is covered in this photo by the officer's glove.)

Slick, glib, pathological liars run our country. We are asked to deny the evidence of our senses. Totalitarianism's on its way, folks.

Nothing SLICK about them - The BS they spout is blatant. The problem is that We The People can not do anything about it. Clinton got another 4 years because as a Nation - we dont care about lies and immorality... Only celebrity scandal and what the 6 O'clock news tells us.

This will mark the first time that I have ever heard of Federal LEO's going into a supposed "hot zone" with their safeties on as well as having their government supplied "trigger safety locks" engaged!!!!!!
Better not let the bad guys find out!!! ;)
YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!

Ok, let's assume for the moment that AG Reno is correct and that the safety really was in safe position. To do that, the goons had to know there was no need for guns because there were no weapons in the house (which means they lied after the raid about guns in the house). Furthermore, the only reason for using the guns had to be to instill fear and intimidate occupants of the house. Back in the good ol' days that used to be the definition of terrorism.

OK Clinton goons. What will it be? Did you lie right after the raid OR did you engage in a terrorist act? Go ahead, the choice is yours.

If that is a safety locked weapon, then so is my 1911, and all of the evil black rifles that some of my friends might own

There seems to be a lot of nonsense going on here. The boy was being held captive, period. He belongs/should be with the next of kin, period. There was no lie about a "safety lock" on the H&K MP-5 in said agents hand. Look at the agents trigger finger, brains of novacains, it is not in position in any way to fire. He was in the ready position with the weapon pointed slightly to the right (enough so that an AD would not hit anything but a wall). Maybe we should have sent a Pom Pom squad in to RESCUE REPEAT RESCUE the lil' guy. This is not a political issue here. The handling of the situation was PERFECT. If any of you have any LEO experience at all you already know that you MUST!!!!! prepare for the worst and pray for the best. This was probably one of the best raids ever captured on film. Do not distort the facts. What was done was done lawfully, perfectly and WITHOUT A SHOT FIRED except to defend both the boy and the LEO'S safety (the OC extinguishers deployed to keep the MOB at safe distance).Janet Reno is to be commended on taking the correct and proper action and planning to avoid a Waco or other such incident. LEO's, when performing this type of raid have a split second to react and that reaction must be correct or it all goes down the tubes.

Siggy, I respect your postion, but...

Safety selector DOES NOT EQUAL safety lock. Locks require keys, not thumbs. Another Klinton LIE! (through Reno)

How long does it take you to move your finger 1/2"?

The only nonsense I see here is the Klinton administration twisting words so that it seems like a violent entry into a home is 'acceptable' practice. It may be justified if Elian was being held for ransom money or was being sodomized, but he seemed perfectly fine to me.

Siggy- friend, this raid maybe would have been legal except that there was NO COURT ORDER!!! The executive branch of our Federal Government cannot do raids without court orders! There was however a court order against the raid by the 11th circuit. Hmmmm-
Since when did Federal Law enforcement get involved in Civil (family) matters anyway? Did you know that due to a law passed in '63 (I think that's the year) Elian was granted assylum before he even hit the shore? All Cubans are granted assylum. I agree that a boy belongs with his father. Even a Communist Father, but I object to the means to which they reunited them. Why couldn't Juan Miguel sleep on the Miami's relative's couch while the family sorted things out? Why is Juan Miguels mother being held in Cuba? Why wasn't Juan Miguel allowed to be out of Cuban eyes for any period of time? Things are fishy here. There is a lot of unanswered questions that bother me. I still hold the boy belongs with his father, but the JBT's should have been pelted with stones, when they assaulted a peaceful crowd with OC gas. " And peaceably assemble to petition for a redress of grievances." It isn't good enough to assault someone because you think they might become violent. There isn't a person alive who is incapable of violence. The JBT's just keep on earning that moniker huh?

OH...but they DID have a court order...they said so! It was to be released to the media later that afternoon.........
as soon as they finished WRITING IT ;)!

Another revoltin' development.....

siggy,

Regardless of the legalities (or anything else about the whole balls up), I'd say that 100+ bubble-butts running into each other was less than a textbook case of a perfect raid. & yes, I do have some experience.

Raids such as this are usually executed by well-trained teams - more like a ballet/orchestrated events.

I especially liked the INS (?) agent who comes running through the gate to provide "cover" for those snatching the youngster, turns around to find there's really nobody there, runs back to find 'em & then follows 'em all out.

Other examples of ninjas running helter-skelter, almost into each other, makes me think that this was not such the fine-tuned exercise.

The apparent (lack of) physical conditioning of many of our "suited" brethren also indicate they may have been more adept as stand-ins for the Mall Santa rather than a crack team.

I would just love to see a tape of The Guvmint's video/after action report & the audio that surely accompanied (hear 'em yelling "Bingo! Bingo!" (surely the code that the boy's been snatched & in the vehicle ready for transport?). There was absolutely an off-site command center doing the "coordinating" and recording of the event.

I betcha this could be presented as an excellent training film on who not to use, how not to do it, etc.

Pray that if I ever get rousted, it'll be by a well-oiled team such as this appears to be.

They did appear to be largely uncoordinated.
After the raid, the entry team stood in front of the camera for a few minutes, started left, then right, and finally left again like they didn't know which way to go. During this, several rotund INS agents waddle on through.

Did anybody notice the guy behind the one pointing the mp5 at the fisherman has his finger on the trigger? Sorry, but there is no way of determining where the muzzle of that mp5 is pointing based on that picture short of indepth photo analysis.
