Oh yeah, it's real, real scam that is....

The guy was on Fox News, he did the old "Well, they had the body but it was moved by some one, we're looking for it now...."

Always "they", who IS "they"..... are "they"?

I cant get that link to work.
I saw a show called monster quest not long ago about this, I think Its interesting.

Roy Reali, good comment. :):):)

"Monster Quest" is hilarious. I saw an episode - monsters of the deep, and in fresh water! - featuring a gent who'd been nipped on the ankle by a pike. Fell out the chair laughing.

Interesting if it's true, but I'm going to want to see DNA tests, X-rays, and full photos before believing it's real. Here's a page that has some photos ( http://bittenandbound.com/2008/08/13/bigfoot-found-in-georgia/ ) and here's the page of the group that claims to have the body ( http://searchingforbigfoot.com/ ). It wouldn't be the FIRST time a previously-unknown large species showed up out of nowhere, but if it's the real thing, the government is going to declare all wilderness areas in Georgia "no-go zones", in the interest of preserving it.

Cryptomundo appears to be down right now.

No its real. I have seen a similar creature here in Georgia while hunting.

Whatever you may or may not have seen has nothing to do with what Whitton found.

So apparently they contacted Biscardi and has a pre-press release to FOX news. Click the video ("Truth Is Out There") in the upper right.

Given the carcass was found in the wild, dead, then frozen, thawed, and supposedly smelly, why aren't there any bugs attracted to it? There should be flies all over the place. That is a freezer outside in the summer with a rotting carcass inside, even a chilled rotting carcass will attract bugs as the freezer is going to stink.

I have to wonder why a cop, Matthew Whitton, has an alias name (Gary Parker). That seems odd.

Have you seen their Youtube video? It is very credible!

The expert from Texas, a Dr. Paul Van Buren is a supposed primate pathologist. There are problems, however. He seems to be Martin Whitton, Matthew's brother.

http://bigfootdiscussions.invisionzone.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t2944.html

There is nothing about the language that he uses to indicate he is a person with a Ph.D. in pathology or primatology. I really got a kick out of his comment that it didn't smell like any primate he had smelled previously, as if that lending credibility to it being a unique species. I am fairly certain he hasn't smelled many primates that were found dead (hence decaying), put in a freezer, chilled, thawed, and allowed to sit in water.

I can find no indication that Dr. Paul Van Buren is any sort of primate or pathology scholar. There are no dissertations or publications relating to pathology or primatology by Dr. Paul Van Buren. He supposedly has a lab in Texas, but he doesn't appear to be affiliated with any of the universities that have pathology or primatology programs.

There will be a supposed press release and 'proof' on Friday, August 15, however. http://www.searchingforbigfoot.com/

Matthew may have some job troubles when he goes back to work...

I like the fact that there's only one picture of the "body" in the article. Every photo is either a crop and/or enlargement of the main picture.

I guess they only took one picture because film for digital cameras is so expensive. Or maybe because they didn't think there would be enough interest to warrant more than one photo.

Hmmmm..... If I had found a BigFoot, I think I would have taken at LEAST 20 or so pictures.

Possible? Yes. Probable..... nah. We'll see in due time. I sure hope someone doesn't "lose" the body. The government may steal it from those guys and it'll all be a conspiracy then!!

:D

you know Mr. Van Buren and the discoverers have the same accent? Something to ponder.
Yes, he appears to be Matthew Whitton's brother (see above).

John, I am shocked that you would suggest such a thing while having obviously witnessed the coordinated efforts of professional bigfoot hunters who have put together an amazing publicity campaign, designed to build intrigue with the public. You would not be suggesting that a current cop, former corrections officer, and "experts" from California and Texas are being deceitful in some way, are you? :p

I am sure they will provide unequivocal results tomorrow and you and I will have egg on our faces, LOL.

Given the claims, I don't just have a tinfoil hat, but have started making tinfoil underwear too (for obvious reasons).

The guy was on Fox news saying they were waiting on scientist to come check it out...I'll believe it if and when they find DNA that proves an undiscovered species. With a "missing body" that is doubtful now...looks like another hoax.

The so called professional, Tom Biscardi, who was brought in to exam the bigfoot, also claimed to have captured a bigfoot alive at one point. He was going to reveal the critter on a pay per view event for $59 a pop). Of course, that never happened.

I'd love for this to be a real critter, but I'm doubtful that this is any thing other than a stunt.

Sure enough, apparently that was in 2005.

Biscardi Statement
First hour guest, Tom Biscardi offered an explanation and apology related to his earlier claims (made on Friday's show) that he had a Bigfoot in captivity. He now says he was misled by an acquaintance of his colleague, Peggy Marx. The acquaintance, who lives in Stagecoach, Nevada, had told them of an injured Bigfoot that was being cared for by two veterinarians. As the details of her story began to unravel, Biscardi said he eventually concluded that her reports were false.

George Noory asked Biscardi if he would refund people's money who signed up for his Internet streaming service after Friday's announcement that video of Bigfoot was forthcoming and he said he'd consider that. George suggested that people could also contact their credit card companies about disputing the charges if they had signed up for his service after Friday's show.
