Best untucked shirt to conceal IWB..

+1. I got about a dozen or so Hawaiian shirts from Costco and BJs. I've never been "made" so I guess that they work as intended. By the way I've been carrying concealed for 40+ years and have NEVER been made - even carrying Beretta 96, or a H&K P2000 in OWB holsters for the past dozen or so years.

Any shirt you like can be altered to be worn tail out. Just cut the tails off square and run a small seam along the bottom. It takes my wife just a few minutes to do this.

Also, try Beall's. They have lots of lightweight shirts in various prints (not just Hawaiian) that work well. And their prices are always decent, often excellent.

No doubt, when I wear cargo short leg pants, I look like an albino Sparrow with boots on.

I can carry a M60 'tho.

There is something to be said about bib overalls.

With those, I can carry lots of stuff.

If I am wearing just a t-shirt I carry with a barami hip grip, just a white undershirt will cover it with no printing. If im wearing a coat, button down, or a sweater I wear use my IWB holster.

JC Penny, Island something or other brand (I forget the full name). I have several and they are good quality and cover guns nicely. Not even close to Tommy Bahama prices either :-)

The thing I've found over the years, though, is that the more expensive shirts significantly outlast the budget ones, and over the long run they cost less. So I'll still recommend the Tommy Bahamas.

+1, that is true with most things in life.::cool:

Wow, that pattern would definitely help hide any printing, but how do I protect my family if they refuse to be seen anywhere near me in public!!

No size, no answer. Are you 120lbs 6,4"ft tall, or 340lbs 5'ft tall?

Look for big and tall online.

Hard to fit a large skinny man!:D

I'd recommend the moisture wicking tees from Under Armor, The North Face, or Columbia, but they can get pricey. (But they work really, really well.)

+ Yes, I wear the Under Armor Summer Time T's under a loud shirt. They are fantastic and expensive, but worth the money. If you pick some up make sure you buy them one size too small, they are designed to work flush against the skin and will not bind. Now is the time to buy them, summer is almost over and you will find great deals on summertime sports gear. I just picked up more Under Armor T's 1/2 off at a local sporting goods store. On a side note, Under Armor makes great winter time gear too.

Lots of good advice here. Here in the Panhandle, I typically wear polos or button down short sleeve shirts, with patterns. On me, a patterned print shirt conceals better than any larger shirt that is a solid color. A primary undershirt is mandatory for the reasons already discussed.

Im pretty sure that with that yellow shirt that was posted ^^ you could wear a shoulder holster on the outside of the shirt and nobody would notice. they would be too busy laughing, puking, or wondering what Mexican restaurant had that same table cloth. lol :p

A darker color conceals better than a light one.
Patterns/prints/plaids conceal better than plain colors.
A looser shirt conceals better than a tight one.
Heavier/thicker material conceals better than light/thin material.

A general rule of thumb is that when standing normally, your cover garment should extend about 6" below the lowest point of the firearm that would be visible without the cover garment in place. That will help insure that it won't pull up and reveal the firearm/holster during normal activities such as sitting, reaching above your head or bending down. So for OWB carry the cover garment would need to come down about 6" below the bottom most part of the holster. For IWB the cover garment needs to extend about 6" below the belt.

Try a tank undershirt and a polo with an OWB holster. Both are cheap at Marshalls or Ross and with a good belt and tight DeSantis or Galco or similar holster you barely print.

Also, if you wear jeans a lot cut a piece from some old jeans or buy a pair at the thrift store. Afix them to your belt or holster to cover the bottom portion of your carry piece.

I kinda like the gaudy Wilderness. I've asked them if the collar has stays. Or, if not, button down points?

Same with the pockets. They really ought to have buttons.

I'd like to have a couple. For $80.00 a pop for casual shirts, I want them my way.

No response. I'll re-post when it happens.
