The only problem with the P7 is when you have to clear a malfunction or eject a live round. That small ejection port begs for casings to hang up in it. I've had to do that a few times (yes, P7s will jam).
P7M8. Hard to find a more simple yet confidence inspiring manual of arms in any pistol. The fact that it is reliable and very accurate, make it one of the best defensive pistols in any caliber.
"Sig P225 has an exposed hammer and rusts like a nail in salt water." -- jtduncan
Oh, horse manure...people who repeat this ridiculous myth are the ones who've never owned a SIG; or don't know how to keep a pistol from rusting in the first place.
Price dependent: The SIG P225;
Price independent: The P7 [but who needs to learn yet another manual of arms and pay twice as much for a single-stack 9mm pistol?]
Well, I voted for the HK P7M8. I have two of these guns and love them. However, I just acquired a NIB Walther P-5. This is one beautiful 9MM. Well balanced, very high quality with superb fit and finish. Haven't shot it yet, so we'll see.
